Hey there! 

I'm Sulley - short for James P. Sullivan.

I am recognized as the top monster, and also the scariest. 

This is because I can get the most screams when scaring children (I'm one of the many monsters in their closets/under the bed).

This is what I have always known, to scare and fear the humans.

I was taught to make humans fear not only myself, but all monsters.

This is because humans are 'toxic' to us monster, and can potentially kill us.

I've always believed these facts, until I met a special little girl.

Her name is Boo.

Now, Boo was different from everyone else. 

She was not afraid of us monsters - instead, she tried to approach us! (even though the majority of monsters ran away).

This caused quite the uproar in Monstropolis (the city we monsters live in); the monsters were scared of dying!

In the beginning, I feared her... a lot.

But, no matter what I did... she always stuck by my side.

It was then that I realized that these humans are innocent! We have been scaring them for no logical reason at all! We are truly monsters.

Humans are not toxic, can not kill us, and do not deserve to be treated they way we have been for many, many years.

Even though I was raised to believe that humans are toxic and cruel, Boo changed my perspective and opened my eyes to reality.

I can't thank her enough.

She will always remain in my heart.
